HOLOVR – X2X Vol.1

Across his many musical monikers, Jimmy Billingham has presented a collection of unforgettable compositions that oscillate between the different sonic atmospheres of experimental electronica and droned-out ambient landscapes, in addition to ably curating his own cassette imprint Sunk Series. Last month he presented a new 30 min live mix under his HOLOVR moniker, which he’d previously used for his debut tape Lunar Cake, pressed last year by Opal Tapes. Titled X2X Vol. 1  , the new collection arranges a set of analog lo-fi techno passage resembling Börft Records’ early sounds and begins a series of live mixes to be recorded and released by the artist himself in upcoming months… hopefully the next will arrive soon, though you can still grab a copy Vol. 1 for 3.50 GBP plus shipping via Bandcamp.
